Tiny dolls in process. Everyone already has a home. What type of face is closer to you?
My favorite is the one on the left.
By the way, pay attention to the last 2 photos, this is the same doll, right, with different hair. How the face changes depending on the type of hair ..

I love my customers. Because they make my life more interesting and broaden my horizons. Thanks to them, I learn a bunch of new amazing things .. A month ago, a wonderful American artist Noel Ruessmann contacted me again with an order. She asked if I knew such a character as the Scarlet Pimpernel, and offered to make a doll according to her sketch.
"The Scarlet Pimpernel is the first novel in a series of historical fiction by Baroness Orczy, published in 1905. It was written after her stage play of the same title enjoyed a long run in London, having opened in Nottingham in 1903.
The novel is set during the Reign of Terror following the start of the French Revolution. The title is the nom de guerre of its hero and protagonist, a chivalrous Englishman who rescues aristocrats before they are sent to the guillotine. Sir Percy Blakeney leads a double life: apparently nothing more than a wealthy fop, but in reality a formidable swordsman and a quick-thinking escape artist.
Orczy's premise of a daring hero who cultivates a secret identity disguised by a meek or ineffectual manner proved enduring. Zorro, the Shadow, the Spider, the Phantom, Superman and Batman followed within a few decades, and the trope remains a popular one in serial fiction today."
Of course, I immediately rushed to study all the available information .. Of course, I wanted to watch the movie in order to study the costumes in more detail .. From the 3 available film adaptations, I chose the 82nd film .. And fell in love .. And in the film, which I watched in one breath, and in the character, the image created by the actor Anthony Andrews.. In general, I took on this project, which acquired special meaning for me and became one of my favorites
It was a completely unusual experience for me, for the first time I worked on someone else's sketch, I rarely draw mine too .. And that's what happened in the end.
Love him dearly, it's already a pity to part .. Later I'll show you more photos of how Percy and I were walking in the garden.

More on clothes.
Everything, as usual, antique and vintage, even sewing threads. Silk skirt trimmed with Brussels lace, corset and hat are made with antique black silk satin, sleeves and stomaker are sewn from French ribbon with roses, cambric shirt made from antique French cambric, lace and ribbons are all French antique too. The cloak deserves special attention, it is made of a luxurious antique moire, and the whole element has been preserved completely in its original old form, I just cut it down at the bottom, and the assemblies and loop overlays are kept original. A fascinating story is connected with this moire element, more details in the next post.

This romantic couple was created for my regular client, a talented artist and charming person. Her only wishes were long hair and a young age. Everything else is for my taste. I have long wanted to try a combination of gray and pink in the image of a witch, I'll show you later why)
